The Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (EWURA) has published revised cap prices for petroleum products, applicable in mainland Tanzania for the month of June, effective 3rd June 2020. The retail and wholesale prices for petrol and diesel imported through the Dar es Salaam port has decreased from the past month, mainly attributed to by the changes in the world oil market prices.
NB: This is a decrease of TZS 348/litre for petrol and of TZS 300/litre for diesel, from May 2020.
The retail and wholesale prices for petroleum products in the Northern regions (Tanga, Kilimanjaro, Arusha and Manyara) remain unchanged, as there was no new consignment received through the Tanga port in May 2020.
The retail and wholesale price for petrol in the Southern regions (Mtwara, Lindi and Ruvuma) remain unchanged, as there was no new consignment of petrol received through the Mtwara port. Nevertheless, the retail and wholesale prices for diesel have decreased in these regions by TZS 451/litre and TZS 450/litre, respectively.
The retail and wholesale price per litre of kerosene remain the same countrywide. This is because there was no new consignment of kerosene from any of the ports.
